The Filipino Christmas tradition called "Simbang Gabi" (translates as "Evening Mass") is a practice that Filipinos do during the advent season where people go to church and celebrate mass for 9 consecutive nights before Christmas eve.
Each Mass will be in English, with Fr. Clement, so that everybody (not just Filipinos) can come and participate in the 9 day/evening celebration.
WHERE: It will be held at ST. PETER the APOSTLE PARISH
WHEN: Starts December 15 Sunday to December 23 Monday

ST. PETER the APOSTLE PARISH
We are preparing Christmas hampers for 16 families in our schools and area. The sign up sheets for the food and children's gift tags (under $25) are in the gym.
Many families depend on our generosity.
Items needed are:
potatoes, fresh carrots, oranges, boxes of stuffing, gravy mix, juice, canned vegetables, margarine, cranberry sauce, buns, coffee or hot chocolate, cookies/desserts, pies, and large foil pans.
WHEN and WHERE: All food need to be at the church / Parish Centre by December 15, Sunday; for delivery at 2:00 PM on December 21, Saturday.
If you can help deliver, please sign up on the poster at the gym.

ST. MICHAEL'S PARISH
We are preparing 10 Christmas hampers for families in our community as well as items for Adele House (a place for families who have left abusive relationships).
Items needed are:
potatoes, fresh carrots, oranges, boxes of stuffing, gravy mix, juice, canned vegetables, margarine, cranberry sauce, buns, coffee or hot chocolate, cookies/desserts, canned fruits and vegetables.
Canned fish/meat/beans, rice, pasta & sauce.
For Adele House: Dish soap, laundry detergent pods, spray cleaners, toilet paper, and tissues.
For the children: shampoo, bubble bath; body wash, kid's toothpaste, toques, scarves, socks, and gift tags (under $25).
WHEN and WHERE: Please bring your donations to St. Michael Parish by December 15, Sunday; for delivery at 10:30 AM on December 21, Saturday.
If you can help shop or deliver, please sign up on the sheet in the East Wing.
If you or a parishioner is confined in the hospital please have someone call St. Peter Parish office.
